The Bay Area’s Best Sounds of the Season

Fremont, CA – Kick off the holidays on Sunday, December 14, at 3 pm as Bay Philharmonic presents The Bay Area’s Best: Sounds of the Season. This beloved annual tradition delivers live entertainment and transforms the Chabot College Performing Arts Center into a musical wonderland—bursting with family-friendly magic, spirited sing-alongs, and uplifting performances everyone will enjoy!

The spectacularly-packed program marks the debut of 25/26 Season Guest Conductor Alexander Kahn, and delivers many merry and bright moments of holiday cheer:

  • Heart-warming themes -The Polar Express & The Snowman (Walking in the Air)

  • A sparkling Broadway holiday medley – filled with pizzazz (Haul out the holly+)

  • Fiery, festive Merry-Achi music like you’ve never heard it before, featuring  Mariachi Nueva Sangre and Bay Phil’s orchestra performing together

  • Several spirited Hanukkah selections honoring the Festival of Lights

  • Classic carols and soul-stirring spirituals from the CO_LLAB Choir & Bay Phil

  • A full-ensemble performance of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus from the Bay Phil Orchestra, CO_LLAB Choir, and Bay Phil Youth Orchestra

  • A fun, joyful sing-along for all
