An evening celebrating the beauty, elegance, and versatility of the harp and orchestra.
Led by Dr. Jane K. Brown, the concert features renowned harp soloist Marina Roznitovsky Oster and the world premieres of the completed orchestral versions of the Paraguayan harp works Iguazú and Una Luz en el Mar by Alfredo Rolando Ortiz, orchestrated by Tyler Emerson.
The program will also include Handel’s Concerto in B-flat Major for Harp and Orchestra, Debussy’s Danses sacrée et profane, Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia No. 1 in C Major, and more.

Marina Roznitovsky Oster
Marina Roznitovsky Oster, a world-class harpist based in Reno, Nevada, is renowned for her captivating performances and dedication to her craft. Currently serving as the Principal Harpist for the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, and Reno Chamber Orchestra, Marina also teaches harp at the University of Nevada, Reno, Truckee Meadows Community College, and her private studio. Her music has resonated far beyond concert halls, with performances broadcast on National television and radio. "Marina's artistry turns every note into poetry," reflects one concertgoer.

Alfredo Rolando Ortiz
Internationally acclaimed by the critics, renowned soloist of the "arpa paraguaya" (Paraguayan harp), composer, author, educator and recording artist, Alfredo Rolando Ortiz considers his "most important concerts" PLAYING THE HARP IN THE DELIVERY ROOM during the birth of his second daughter, New Year's Eve, 1980, and also for the birth of a grandson from each one of his two daughters.
