Following our wonderful 2026 Season opening concert, "EFFERVESCENCE!", Conductor Circle members enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Acqua e Farina Restaurant on Main Street in Hayward, CA.

While dining, guests were treated to an impromptu performance by composer Alfredo Rolando Ortiz, whose completed orchestral versions of his works 'Iguazú' and 'Una Luz en el Mar', orchestrated by Tyler Emerson, had their world premiere at our concert by the Bay Philharmonic with harpist Marina Roznitovsky Oster.

In this video, Alfredo performed ‘Si Quedara Sin Ti’ (If I Ever Lost You) beautifully. This was followed at the 4:20 mark an improvisational piece showing his expertise and passion for his art and the instrument he plays.
