2026–2027 Concert Season

FREMONT, CA. — The Bay Philharmonic proudly announces its 2026–2027 concert season, Experience the Bay Philharmonic: East Bay’s Hidden Gem, a four-concert celebration of the power, diversity, and excitement of live orchestral music in the East Bay. Under the direction of Conductor and Artistic Director Dr. Jane K. Brown, the season brings together extraordinary musicians, guest artists, beloved traditions, international musical influences, classical masterpieces, and the unforgettable sounds of cinema. From the beauty of the harp and strings to the celebration of the holidays, the passion of flamenco, and the excitement of Hollywood’s greatest film scores, the season invites audiences of all ages to discover the Bay Philharmonic and experience the orchestra as East Bay’s Hidden Gem.
The season opens with EFFERVESCENCE! on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Castro Valley Center for the Arts. The program features the World Premiere of the completed orchestral versions of Paraguayan harp pieces Iguazu and Una Luz en el Mar by Alfredo Rolando Ortiz and orchestrated by Tyler Emerson, played by Marina Roznitovsky Oster, renowned harp soloist. The program will also include Handel’s Concerto in B-flat Major for Harp and Orchestra, Debussy’s Danses Sacrée et Profane, Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia No. 1 in C Major, and more.
The season continues with RINGIN’ IN THE HOLIDAYS! on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at the Chabot College Performing Arts Center. Conductor Jane K. Brown and the Bay Philharmonic will join forces with the Tapestry Ringers, directed by Tessique Houston, along with local vocalists Michelle Schantz and Zach Bukarev, for a joyous holiday celebration. The program will feature popular and classic holiday favorites from around the world, including Leroy Anderson holiday favorites, the Ukrainian Bell Carol, Hanukkah Festival Overture by Lucas Richman, and a festive sing-along for the entire family.
On Saturday, March 20, 2027, the Bay Philharmonic presents FANDANGO! FLAMENCO SINFÓNICO, an evening celebrating the passion, rhythm, and fire of Spanish musical traditions.
Featuring the Bay Philharmonic under the direction of Jane K. Brown and guest guitar soloist Jack Cimo, the program will include Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez for guitar and orchestra, a suite of selections from de Falla’s The Three-Cornered Hat, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol.
The season concludes on Saturday, May 15, 2027, with EPIC! SOUNDS OF THE SILVER SCREEN, bringing the Bay Philharmonic and Bay Philharmonic Youth Orchestra together for a spectacular celebration of the music behind cinema’s greatest moments. Led by Conductor Jane K. Brown, the program will feature unforgettable music by Maurice Jarre and John Williams, beloved Disney classics, and many other favorite soundtracks and composers. EPIC! will invite families, longtime patrons, young musicians, and movie lovers alike to experience the power of orchestral music through some of the most memorable sounds ever created for the silver screen.
Together, these four concerts represent the artistic vision of the Bay Philharmonic: creating memorable musical experiences that bring people together, celebrate cultural diversity, support music education, and make exceptional orchestral music accessible to the East Bay community.

The Bay Philharmonic has introduced three easy seating tiers for the 2026–2027 season, providing audiences with straightforward choices and greater flexibility when purchasing tickets.
Tier 1 — Premium Seating: $89
Tier 2 — Preferred Seating: $69
Tier 3 — Standard Seating: $49
Student Pricing: $25 for Tier 2 & 3, $40 for Tier 1

BEYOND THE CONCERTS
The Bay Philharmonic’s commitment to the East Bay extends beyond the concert hall with special events that celebrate music, community, and the organization’s future. CRESCENDO! the Bay Philharmonic Gala fundraiser honoring the 60th Anniversary of the Bay Philharmonic and 10th Anniversary of the Bay Phil Youth Orchestra, will take place Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 5:00–10:00 p.m. at Garré Vineyard and Winery in Livermore. The evening will celebrate the orchestra’s legacy while raising vital support for artistic programming, youth music education, and community engagement.
